Complete responsibility for extra-high-voltage and high-voltage substations — from survey and design through to energisation and handover.
A turnkey substation contract puts one company on the hook for the whole asset. We carry out the site survey and load study, prepare the single-line diagram and layout, take the design through client and utility approval, procure from approved vendors, build the civil works and structures, erect the equipment, test it, commission it and hand it over with the complete document set.
We work across 33 KV, 66 KV, 132 KV and 220 KV classes, in both air-insulated and gas-insulated configurations. Typical scope includes power transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs and PTs, control and relay panels, SCADA integration, earthing and lightning protection, cable trenching and termination.
The reason clients give for choosing a turnkey contract is usually the same: when erection, testing and commissioning sit with three different vendors, the gaps between them become the client's problem. Under one contract there are no gaps to fall into, and one resident engineer is answerable for the schedule.
